Korean drama enthusiasts would be glad to know that 2023 is filled with some of the most promising new titles. Some of these shows that are scheduled to be released this year are original dramas with new concepts and stories while the others are second installments of famous and critically acclaimed series. Hence, there is always something for everyone, whether you love to watch light-hearted comedy romance, fantasy dramas, or action-packed shows. The following are some of the titles that you should be looking forward to.

Bloodhounds - Watch on Netflix

This is the latest action K-drama from Netflix. It follows the story of two talented boxers Hong Woo-jin and Kim Geon-woo, who are also best friends. In order to pay the debt of Kim Geon-woo's mother, they have to explore the underground world of private loans and money lenders in South Korea. To bring down a cruel loan shark, they work together with a kind-hearted moneylender. The schedule of release is on June 9.

Black Knight - Watch on Netflix

This is the first action show of Kim Woo-bin after recovering from cancer. The story occurred in the year 2071 when there is extreme pollution and people must use respirators in order to survive. Kim plays the character of the legendary delivery knight. Due to the desertification in Korea, only one percent of humanity remains. And delivery knights play an important role in society. Started streaming on May 12.

The Glory (Part 2) - Stream it on Netflix

There are a lot of thriller series that you can enjoy streaming online but you have to protect yourself with an antivirus suite. Choose best antivirus between McAfee and Norton to keep you safe from any possible threats. The Glory is a revenge-based thriller series that stars Song Hye-kyo. This is quite different from her typical melodramas. Song Hye-kyo plays the character of a former victim of school violence who stages a revenge scheme against the people who bullied her. The first part of The Glory was released on December 30, while the second part is scheduled to be released on March 10.

Call It Love - Stream it on Disney+

Apparently, when it comes to love, revenge can be complicated. Call It Love stars Kim Young-kwang and Lee Sung-kyung. When Woojoo's father died, she was kicked out by her father's mistress. That is why she wants to take revenge on her father's mistress' son, Dong-jin. However, her plans did not succeed since she falls in love with him. The show started streaming on February 22.

Our Blooming Youth - Watch it on Prime Video

Park Hyung-sik, an actor and a boyband member, stars in this romantic mystery-thriller Korean drama. He plays the character of an arrogant prince who met a noblewoman named Min Jae-yi. Our Blooming Youth shows that guts and courage can overcome difficulties. When all the members of her family were murdered, Min Jae-yi was accused of being the murderer. The prince wants to help her but she must also help the prince in breaking a mysterious curse. Streamed on February 6. 

Dr. Romantic 3 - Watch on Disney+

One of the famous medical dramas has returned for its third season. Just like the previous two seasons, this one will be more thrilling and heartwarming. The show includes Han Suk-kyu, who is the lead star, along with other actors such as Lee Sung-kyung and Ahn Hyo-seop. All of them will be playing the same roles in the third season, just like what they did in the second season. Will there be a Season four? Season three centers on Dr. Kim's wish to build Doldam Hospital's Trauma Center, due to the increased number of accidents and incidents that the hospital needs to accommodate. Along with a new antagonist, new doctors in the team, and heartfelt romance, it's going to be a big return for Dr. Romantic. Streamed on April 21. 

Taxi Driver (Season 2) - Watch on SBS

The first season was released in 2021. Both seasons star Lee Je-hoo, who played the role of a taxi driver named Kim Do-Ki. He works for Rainbow Taxi Company, which provides a unique revenge service to their clients who have been wronged. There are many reasons why Taxi Driver Season Two is worth watching. A lot of incidents that were featured in the show have been inspired by true-to-life crimes that transpired in Korea. And it is anticipated that season 2 will be much darker. Streaming started on February 17.

Gyeongseong Creature - Watch on Netflix

This show features Han So-Hee and Park Seo-Joon. The setting of Gyeongseong Creature is in the spring of 1945. It focuses on the city of Gyeongseong, which is presently known as the city of Seoul. The series shows how they struggle for survival while eliminating the monsters that emerged out of human greed. Scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2023.
