Jung Hae In Reveals Which ‘DP’ Season 2 Cast ‘Impressed’ Him the Most

Jung Hae In spoke nothing but good words to fellow "D.P." season 2 cast members after the Netflix series ended with a huge success.

Although the action-comedy series didn't make it into the streaming giant's top 10 TV shows worldwide, the 6-episode K-drama is among the hot topics on social media. In addition, local and media outlets were all praising the overall story of "D.P." season 2.

In an interview with the press, Jung Hae In spilled his honest thoughts about the K-drama's second season.

Jung Hae In Admits Feeling Pressured by 'D.P.' Season 1 Success

The South Korean heartthrob returned as private soldier Ahn Joon Ho and remained a member of the D.P. team. He was reunited with his partner, Corporal Han Hyo Yeol, played by Goo Kyo Hwan, with new sets of mission.

With his comeback, Jung Hae In said that one of his biggest concerns with "D.P." season 2 was the "approach" to it.

"I had a lot of worries about whether I should solve it," he confessed, adding, "but what I came to the conclusion of was to approach it with sincerity."

As for his character, Jung Hae In said Ahn Joon Ho held a lot of responsibilities, not just with his family but also as a D.P. soldier. He also spoke about the climax of the story, where his character "had to step in" to break the cycle in the military.

The actor was referring to Ahn Joon Ho leaving his post and becoming a deserter himself, with plans to expose the brutality and anomalies in the army.

On the other hand, besides his character, Jung Hae In also mentioned the new cast members who joined "D.P." season 2.

Jung Hae In was vocal about how he admired the rookie actors who joined the sequel, among whom were Bae Nara and Choi Hyun Wook. He described Bae Nara's acting as a work of art, and also mentioned to the actor how impressed he is with his portrayal.

In "D.P." season 2, the newbie actor played as Jang Seong Min, a deserter who escaped the military after being harassed and bullied by his superiors. He then continued his dream of becoming a performer and lived as Nina.

Despite only appearing in episode 3, Bae Nara was praised by the viewers, who noted that his character's story is one of the highlights of the show.

In addition, Choi Hyun Wook also captured Jung Hae In's attention, and was praised for his "raw acting."

According to the "D.P." season 2 star, he "is very curious about" Choi Hyun Wook's future as an actor.

Appearing in episodes 4 and 5, he took on the role of GP member Shin Ah Wi, who was involved with Sergeant Na's case.

Viewers witnessed how versatile Hyun Wook is as he portrayed a challenging role.

Besides the Netflix series, he also starred in "Weak Hero Class" and "Twenty-Five Twenty-One."
