Seo In Guk showed genuine kindness after a Filipino actress, singer, and vlogger wasn't able to push through with her hosting schedule for the South Korean star's fan meet in Manila.

The "Cafe Minamdang" star had his first-ever Asia meet and greet tour in Manila on August 12, where he met his enthusiastic Filipino fans. The audience went full on fan mode as Seo In Guk graced the stage, giving everyone a night to remember.

However, Filipino vlogger Kristel Fulgar documented her bittersweet experience during the show.

Filipino Vlogger Expresses Disappointment After Being Replaced as Seo In Guk's Host for His Fan Meet

As her fans would know, Kristel Fulgar initially announced that she would host Seo In Guk's Manila fan meet, which made her super thrilled given that she is also a longtime fan of Seo In Guk.

However, in her recent vlog, Kristel Fulgar revealed the reason she was replaced in short notice. 

The actress said that she got upset with the last-minute replacement after being told that she would no longer host the fan meet.

Airing her grievances on her YouTube channel, Kristel Fulgar said that the technical director thought she "lacks energy" during the rehearsal.

"I was already here by 7 a.m.; I rehearsed, and then the Korean technical director eventually told me that I wouldn't be hosting anymore," the tearful actress said in a mix of Tagalog and English.

Moreover, she also mentioned that she never accepted any hosting gigs throughout her entire acting career but eventually said yes for Seo In Guk since she has been a fan of the actor for the past 11 years.

Seo In Guk Praised for Being the 'Sweetest' to Kristel Fulgar

In the latter part of her vlog, Kristel Fulgar was able to visit Seo In Guk in his dressing room, where she also met the actor's team.

Conversing in Korean, the actor asked her if she was okay, to which she replied yes, but was seen holding back her tears during the whole conversation with the South Korean star.

As seen in the clip, Seo In Guk hugged Kristel Fulgar as he tried to cheer her up despite the unfortunate incident.


"SIG showing his concern and checking up on me made my heart melt," she said on her vlog.

Due to this, the "Reply 1997" star was praised by his Filipino fans for being the "sweetest" and showing how caring he was.

Moreover, people also lauded him for being so "humble."

Seo In Guk Returns to K-drama With 'Death's Game'

After his notable role in "Cafe Minamdang," Seo In Guk is making his K-drama comeback through the upcoming series "Death's Game."

He will be joining Park Seo Dam and Go Yoon Jung, which will air in December 2023.
