‘The Escape of the 7’ Kicks Off With Strong Rating
Fans of the hit K-drama "The Penthouse" will surely get hooked on the newest series "The Escape of the 7," as it featured a show-stopping pilot episode featuring lead stars Lee Joon, Hwang Jung Eum, Lee Yoo Bi, and more.
Created by the genius behind "The Last Empress" and SBS' "The Penthouse" trilogy, the newest thriller mystery K-drama focuses around revenge against people who were involved in the disappearance of a high school student.
Apart from the trio, it stars Uhm Ki Joon, Shin Eun Kyung, Yoon Jong Hoon, Jo Jae Yoon, and Jo Yoon Hee.
'The Escape of the 7' Viewership
In a report, Nielsen Korea an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent for the drama's pilot episode.
Interestingly, "The Escape of the 7" episode 1 took first place across all channels for its time slot.

'The Escape of the 7 Episode 1 Recap: Han Mo Ne Frames Bang Da Mi
The episode starts with Lee Da Mi leaving her parents to go with her biological mother to continue her studies.
What made her leave her loving family is because her real mom, Geum Ra Hee, helped her parents pay off their huge debt after getting her heart surgery.
Little did she know that Geum Ra Hee had a dark motive.
After she settled into her new home, she saw the real attitude of her mother. In one scene, Da Mi met her grandfather, Bang Chil Sung, who happens to be a chaebol and owns a huge corporation.
Her mother warned her not to upset her grandfather, but she failed. That is because of the complicated relationship between her grandfather's new wife and her biological mom.
As for Geum Ra Hee, the reason she brought Lee Da Mi, who now lives by the name Bang Da Mi, was to get an investment fund for her new venture.
As Bang Da Mi entered her new school, she met a group of bullies whom she ratted about after seeing their cheating activity.
However, the main leader of the bullies was none other than Han Mo Ne, a pop star wannabe who showers everyone with presents to get what she wants.
She befriended Bang Da Mi so she could use her for her plan since they have the same build and height.
Following a commotion caused by Min Do Hyuk, who was after agency head Yang Jin Mo, Han Mo Ne started her plan and tricked Bang Da Mi to look like her.
In the last scene, Bang Da Mi accidentally found out Mo Ne's secret. She heard a baby crying and found out that Mo Ne had just given birth. She asked Da Mi to keep it a secret and help her escape the baby, which she did.
However, she framed her and told everyone that it was her who gave birth.
