‘Captivating the King’ Episode 7-8: Jo Jung Suk Discovers Shin Se Kyung’s Secret

After declaring their hatred for one another, their love for Go brings Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung closer together.

However, a huge secret changes the course of their relationship in "Captivating the King" episode 7 and 8.

Rumor Spreads Through the Town

After appointing Kang Mong Woo (Shin Se Kyung) as his official playmate, a rumor about him liking men spreads around the palace.

Despite that, Lee In (Jo Jung Suk) continues to spend time with Kang Mong Woo. The director of the palace even intervenes and petitions to expel Kang Mong Woo.

In order to cancel the petition, the king must sleep with a concubine and provide an offspring. This troubles Kang Mong Woo's heart as she still has feelings for Lee In.

Lee In agrees even if he doesn't want to in order to protect Kang Mong Woo. Meanwhile, the sick queen also learns about this, making her even more ill.

Kang Mong Woo Gets Devastated Over a News

Lee In and Kang Mong Woo go around town to see whether the rumor about them is still spreading, making the king's right hand man disturbed.

Because of his loyalty, he tries to keep the rumors away and even gives the two a private moment. Lee In bares his heart to Kang Mong Woo, creating a heart fluttering moment.

He says that if Kang Mong Woo was a woman, he would have married him. Kang Mong Woo, who returned to avenge herself, feels extremely sad and guilty.

Later that night, Lee In prepares to sleep with a concubine. However, the news about Kang Mong Woo and Yoo Hyun Bo (Yang Kyung Won) missing startles him.

Lee In Discovers Kang Mong Woo's Secret

He leaves the concubine to search for the two. Lee In finds Kang Mong Woo drunk under a tree. To care for him in private, he brings her to Lee In's teacher's place.

Unbeknownst to them, it's also Kang Mong Woo's place as Kang Hee Soo. Lee In undresses the former so he can sleep comfortably, waking him up.

Kang Mong Woo screams in confusion using her real female voice which surprises Lee In in return. With disbelief, he looks at the breast binder, tearfully asking her how she could deceit him.

Kang Hee Soo goes closer to Lee In and kisses him. The latter returns the kiss, realizing his true feelings for his playmate, making viewers swoon.
