Weeks after its highly-anticipated release, Cha Eun Woo shared more insights about his comeback drama and the new face he's ready to show to the viewers. 

Known for his charming and lover boy roles, Cha Eun Woo will transition into a rough and dark character in "Wonderful World."

He will portray Kwon Seon Yul, a man who after losing his family from a crime, hits rock bottom and starts living a rough life. In regards to his decision to join the project, the idol-actor said, "I was drawn to the pain and scars that Seon Yul carries. I wanted to depict his journey of healing and overcoming the deep wounds in his heart and ultimately transforming."

Breaking away from his sweet image, the heartthrob is set to portray a tough character dealing with the underworld, a look he has not done before.

How Cha Eun Woo Prepares for Portraying Kwon Seon Yul's Role

According to him, Kwon Seon Yul may be rough but lives life with meticulous planning. He has a unique charm in his crude existence that the actor found appealing. 

As he went on, the Korean star mentioned what made him fall in love with Seon Yul.

"Personally, I was drawn to Kwon Seon Yul's honesty and frank nature, and I wanted to ensure this was accurately conveyed in my performance. I approached the role with sincerity. I focused more on showing the right emotions. I constantly mulled over Seon Yul's emotions and sentiments as I read the script," actor promising a deeply engaging acting. 

Cha Eun Woo Honored to Act With Veteran Actress Kim Nam Joo

Since many are curious about their upcoming dynamic, Cha Eun Woo also shared his experience working with veteran actress Kim Nam Joo.

"It was an honor to act alongside Kim Nam Joo. I learned a lot by observing her. Despite her 'cold' character image, she was incredibly warm and approachable." 

He added that the actress often breaks the ice with humor, which made the filming experience fun."

As "Wonderful World's" debut is approaching, Cha Eun Woo's anticipation is palpable," I hope viewers will say 'Kwon Seon Yul is the perfect role of Cha Eun Woo,' and find my performance compelling. I have given my heart to this character, and I am excited for viewers to follow our story.

"Wonderful World" is scheduled to occupy the primetime beginning March 1 on MBC and Disney Plus.
