In the second sequel to the thriller-mystery drama, the story focuses on the revenge of Geum Ra Hee to give justice to Bang Da Mi's death. With this, she secretly helps Min Do Hyuk get back at K or Matthew Lee for killing his family.
Meanwhile, for the show's third week, the SBS drama struggled to keep up with the rating race.

Thankfully, "The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection" Episode 5 showed a slight boost in rating after garnering an average nationwide rating of 3.1 percent, as mentioned by Nielsen Korea.
'The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection' Episode 5: Who is the Person Behind Medusa?
Following the death of Han Mo Ne's mother, she was certain to give Geum Ra Hee the revenge that she deserves.
Little did she know that Matthew Lee was the person behind it, while Geum Ra Hee tried to cover up the incident by saving her mother.

However, despite this truth, Han Mo Ne thought that her number one enemy was Geum Ra Hee, and with that, she teamed up with Matthew Lee to get a poison from the CEO.
In return, Mo Ne should hand him SAVE's system, owned by her now-fiancee, Hwang Chan Seong.

Han Mo Ne began her plan by sneaking into the basement where the servers are located.
Unfortunately, she was busted by Chan Seong, but instead of breaking up with her, he willingly gave the system to her, which made her wonder if he had any motives towards her.
As for Matthew Lee, he handed Mo Ne the poison that could kill Geum Ra Hee in an instant, but she failed.
She was only used by Matthew Lee to access SAVE's system.

In the last scene, Matthew Lee got the upper hand after Min Do Hyuk fell into his trap, thinking that the system, Medusa, was Bang Da Mi's stepmother.
Since he thought that Medusa was an ally, he wanted to meet the person behind it and discuss plans against Matthew Lee.
On the other hand, Matthew Lee invited the group for a thrilling movie night only to find his devious act towards Min Do Hyuk.
Through Medusa, Matthew Lee was controlling the car that Do Hyuk was driving and planned to crash it into the lake.
Thankfully, Geum Ra Hee thought of a plan that would prevent him from killing Do Hyuk and Kang Ki Tak.
However, suspicions grew that she was the traitor among the group.
