'Lovely Runner' Most-Watched K-Drama in 133 Countries

tvN's fantasy-romance drama "Lovely Runner" is captivating the viewers' from Korea and overseas.

In the latest report by Rakuten Viki, a known global over-the-top (OTT) platform, "Lovely Runner" ranked first in viewership in 133 countries including the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, and more during the drama's pilot week.

Viki also declared that the ongoing series is consistent in maintaining a high viewer rating of 9.8 on the said OTT platform. Aside from that, the weekday drama is receiving favorable reviews from the subscribers.

Rakuten Viki provides video streaming services for Asian series and films in more than 190 countries. Apart from "Lovely Runner," the OTT also airs other ongoing dramas such as "Missing Crown Prince," "The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection," "The Midnight Studio," and "Beauty and Mr. Romantic."

"Lovely Runner," also known as "The Best of Tomorrow," is based on the popular web novel written by "True Beauty" writer Lee Si Eun. It is a time-slip romance series that features the story of Im Sol, a passionate fan devastated by the death of her favorite idol Ryu Sun Jae.

Due to an unexpected event, she has the opportunity to travel back in time to change the future and save her idol.

In the first four episodes released, viewers are hooked and immersed in Im Sol and Ryu Sun Jae's stories. Since Im Sol traveled back in the past, some events in her and Sun Jae's life have finally started to change.

In addition, as she returned to the past with the goal of saving her idol's life, Im Sol also began to regain her memories and realized that Ryu Sun Jae was the one who saved her from the accident, bringing more excitement to the story.

Now, viewers are looking forward to more truths to unfold in Sun Jae and Im Sol's lives as both of their point of view are being shown in the drama. The love triangle between Ryu Sun Jae, Im Sol, and Kim Tae Sung will also begin in next week's episodes.
