Ji Sung Stands Out in Dapper Uniform in His Forthcoming Police K-drama ‘Connection’

Ji Sung returns as a man in uniform in the upcoming K-drama "Connection."

Taking on an intriguing character, SBS teases viewers with the first look of the top star as he plays as Jang Jae Kyung.

Ji Sung Stuns as Ace Detective in 'Connection'

Ahead of the drama's premiere, SBS dropped new still cuts, showcasing Ji Sung as ace detective Jang Jae Kyung.

Playing as one of the main characters in "Connection," the story depicts the journey of a top-tier detective who possesses an amazing performance as a member of the narcotics unit.

As seen in the latest teaser, Ji Sung looks sleek and dapper in a police uniform as a high-ranking official, awarded for his exemplary performance.

The drama showcases Jang Jae Kyung as someone who is respected by his colleagues, even his seniors in the narcotics unit.

However, amid his flawless service in the police force, he gets embroiled in a tricky situation after he becomes forcibly addicted to illegal substances through a mysterious person.

Joining the top star is Jeon Mi Do, who is best known as Chae Song Hwa in "Hospital Playlist."

The actress takes on the character of the outspoken reporter Oh Yoon Jun of Anhyun Economic Daily.

Adding to the list of cast members is Kwon Yool, who will take on the role of prosecutor Park Tae Jin, while Kim Kyung Nam plays the drama's villain, Won Jong Soo. He is the vice chairman of the powerful conglomerate Geum Hyun Group.

'Connection' Release Date

Following the still cuts and official poster released by SBS, "Connection" is a team-up between the director and writer of "Diary of a Prosecutor," Lee Tae Gon, and screenwriter Lee Hyun.

In addition to this, viewers will get to see Ji Sung return to K-drama as the upcoming series premieres on May 24 at 10 p.m. KST.

Furthermore, viewers are also looking forward to his amazing on-screen chemistry with Jeon Mi Do as they play interesting characters.

As mentioned, "Connection" is Ji Sung's K-drama comeback after the 2022 series "Adamas."

Interestingly, other than his on-screen projects, the top star has been active on social media.

One of his recent Instagram posts is about their couple date with wife Lee Bo Young during the 2024 MLB (Major League Baseball) World Tour: Seoul Series.

Along with other stars, the celebrity couple witnessed the legendary playoff between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres.
