The October 18 episode of the show, per Maeil Business Newspaper, had Hyun Bong-sik as the guest of host Yoo Jae-suk, who invited him to be part of the "InsaMo" group.

Hyun also looked back on his early life and career choices after quitting judo during the broadcast. "After graduation, I think I was just chasing money," he said. "I only looked for jobs that paid well or offered high salaries. But that kind of thinking made me petty."

He related that his life turned in a different direction when he was in his late twenties. "When I was around 27 or 28, I worked as an installer for a Samsung subcontractor. While training in Suwon, I took part in a role-play exercise and found acting to be fun. I thought, whatever I do in Korea, I won't starve, so I decided to pursue something I enjoy."

According to Maeil Business Newspaper, the actor narrated how a small chance ended up getting him into the entertainment industry. "While I was lost, I was browsing job sites and saw a headline that really caught my eye: 'If you want to be an actor, take on the challenge.' It was for an extra role, but when I went, they didn't cast me. I was rejected four times."

He went on with a chuckle, "A few days later, they called and asked if I could play a gangster. I said yes. It was a 0.5-second flashback scene in Vampire Prosecutor."

Hyun Bong-sik's account touched people as an uplifting story of determination and re-discovery. His open-minded reflection on pursuing economic security before finding his true vocation provided insight into the experiences of many would-be actors prior to making it.

Hangout with Yoo airs Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. on MBC, bringing a blend of comedy, touching tales, and celebrity cameos that continue to grip viewers all over the country.
