Jung So-min is saying goodbye to her latest role as Yoo Meri in SBS's "Would You Marry Me?," wrapping up a character arc that earned rave reviews among both audiences and critics alike.

According to the Maeil Business Newspaper, Jung gave one of her most unforgettable performances in the series' final episodes, which aired on Nov. 14 and 15; the character she played was a woman forced into a sham marriage to save her home.
In episode 11, Jung's character visited the graves of her boyfriend's parents. As she said, "Mother, Father. Please don't worry anymore. I will take responsibility for him and make him happy." This scene depicted the maturity and sincerity of her character.

Later, Meri confesses the truth behind her relationship with Baek Sanghyeon. Meri stated that they "were never truly married," revealing the deception that originated as a plan to safeguard her newlywed home. K-entertainment News reported that Jung's calm but emotional delivery amplified the weight of the moment.
Meri's warm domestic moments with her boyfriend Kim Woo-joo, played by Choi Woo-shik, provided viewers with lighter moments of affection; however, the situation escalated when her ex-boyfriend, portrayed by Seo Bum-june, returned to reveal their fake marriage.
In a pivotal emotional moment, Meri finally confronts her ex-boyfriend. She then says, "Woo-joo, these days I feel really comfortable and happy. I think I must really like him. So I hope you can be happy too. Let's let go of all the hurt and resentment between us and only keep the good memories."
The finale depicts Meri leaving her past behind and accepting Woo-joo's marriage proposal. The drama closes with reflective narration: "What I truly wanted was not a fake home that no one could discover, but the one person who would love me no matter what."
After the broadcast concluded, Jung expressed her feelings about the drama's ending. She said, "It still doesn't feel real that the journey of 'Would You Marry Me?', which so many people worked hard on together, has come to an end. I want to send it off with a smile, wishing for its happiness."
With her passionate final performance, Jung So-min once again proved why she is among the top romantic-comedy heroines, and viewers are eagerly anticipating her next project.
