Actor Jin Seon-kyu shared candid insights about his life as part of an actor couple during a recent appearance on SBS's variety show No, But Seriously! on June 8. He revealed the difficulties he faces watching his wife, actress Park Bo-kyung, perform in love scenes and discussed their family life.

Jin, 16 years married to Park, described their relationship from their time as senior and junior alumni of Korea National University of Arts to their marriage in October 2010, as per Xports News. The couple has two children, a daughter and a son.

"After our child was born, I continued working in theater while my wife paused her acting career for eight years to raise them," Jin said, expressing gratitude for her sacrifice.

Despite her hiatus, Park remains highly praised in every project she undertakes. Jin recalled feeling a mix of emotions seeing his wife receive acclaim for the Netflix series Little Women and reflected on his own experience gaining recognition for the movie The Outlaws .

Jin admitted he avoids watching some of Park's more explicit scenes, citing discomfort with love scenes in the film Queen Woo.

"I didn't watch it because I heard there was an R-rated scene. It felt awkward," he said. He also shared that Park's nickname "Wasabi" stems from her tough yet captivating on-screen presence.

Jin described their family life as harmonious, highlighting warm welcomes after work and playful interactions.

"I'd like to make traditional melodramas that can really touch someone's life," Jin said, pointing to the film Failan as the perfect example. When asked if his wife would support this dream, he humorously doubted it, stating, "I don't think it would work. I think to myself, 'Try saying that myself.'"

The actor, according to The Chosun Daily, revealed his wish to take on a passionate romance role during an appearance on SBS's talk show "Real Talk" on Monday.

Jin, known for his diverse acting portfolio, said he has never played a traditional romantic lead. "The romance I want is like the male lead in the movie 'Paiyan,' a romance that changes a person's life," he told host Lee Su-ji during a situational drama segment.

When asked how his wife would react to his desire for such roles, Jin laughed and said, "I know I can't do it. She thinks, 'Go ahead and say that. Do you think it'll work?'"

Jin has been married to Park Bo-kyung since October 2010. The couple has two children — a daughter born in 2013 and a son born in 2016.

The episode also featured actor Kim Ji-seok, with both guests sharing candid stories about married life and romance, providing lighthearted entertainment for viewers.
