While gracing the red carpet during the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, Kerry Washington confirmed that she is pregnant.




In October, before she hosted "Saturday Night Live," rumors were surfacing that the "Scandal" star was eating for two.




"I feel ge designed it more for this bump, which I'm really happy with," Washington told NBC while sporting a Balenciaga gown that showed off her baby bump during the award preliminaries.




The actress appeared to keep everything a secret, even her June wedding in Idaho to San Francisco 49ers Nnamdi Asomugha.




"I feel like, I just feel very blessed. Life is truly extraordinary right now," said Washington about her marriage while at the Gloden Globes.




She also showed some love to her admirers.




"We owe everything to our fans," she said. "Our gladiators on Twitter and on Facebook and they really have made us [at 'Scandal'] what we are. So we are so grateful."




Washington also told E! News how grateful she was to have her baby bump as her plus one.




"I feel like I have the best date of the night, my little accessory here," she said.




The "Scandal" star is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series -- Drama against "House of Cards" actress Robin Wright, "The Good Wife" star Julianna Margulies, "Orphan Black" star Tatiana Maslany and "Orange Is the New Black" actress Taylor Schilling.
