Ha Ji Won showed dramatic acting in the drama.

On the episode of MBC "Empress Ki" broadcast on March 4th, Ha Ji Won showed the side of a cold authoritarian leader and a warm mother at the same time.

In the drama, Ki Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won) becomes Ta Whan (played by Ji Chang Wook)'s wife.  Tanasili (played by Baek Jin Hee) was jealous and used a spell on her.  Ki Seung Nyang realizes through her genius mind that the reason she is sick is because of the curse.  After realizing who put the curse on her, Ki Seung Nyang sets the house on fire.  And using this reverse method, she finds a way to hit Tanasili.

Ki Seung Nyang and Baek Jin Hee start to fight in the Internal quarters of the palace for a power struggle. Ki Seung Nyang shows a cold side as she gets ahead in the strategy to get more authority.

In the latter half, Ki Seung Nyang ends up having the child of Ta Whan (played by Ji Chang Wook).  Ta Whan and Ki Seung Nyang looked at their son happily.  Ha Ji Won dropped the cold charisma that she had shown in the earliest parts of the drama and experienced the sides of a warm mother.

Ki Seung Nyang is showing extremes in the drama and is in the center of the ratings of "Empress Ki."
