"In "Secret Love Affair," Yoo Ah In's character falls for his much older piano teacher, played by Kim Hee Ae. And the steamy romance is not the only k-drama in which a student falls for his or her teacher.

Sometimes the lovers only temporarily have a student-teacher relationship.

In "You Who Came For The Stars" Kim Soo Hyun is the professor in Jun Ji Hyun's class and he gives her a zero for plagiarizing her work. While he never manages to make her pay attention in class, she does manage to teach him a a few lessons about love.

A similar student-teacher relationship happened in "The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry." Park Jin Hee was the substitute professor in a class taken by the older returning student played by Kim Bum. That did not stop him from asking for her phone number but then they already met when she cut the chord on his guitar.

One of the most embarrassing moments in a k-drama comedy happened when Lee Chung Ah discovered that the person she referred to as oppa was really her student, played by Jung Il Woo. That did not stop him from trying to romance her. Nor did it stop her from knocking him out.

Lim Joo Eun played tutor-turned-teacher Jeon Hyun Joo in "The Heirs." Kang Ha Neul's character managed to have a crush on her while she was tutoring him and then she wound up being a teacher in Jeguk High School. She was not interested in him romantically and fortunately, by the drama's end, it looked as if he might recover.

In "Big," Lee Min Jung is a substitute teacher. She doesn't mean to fall for her transfer student played by Shin Won Ho, but after a car accident, he becomes trapped inside the body of her more suitably aged fiancé, played by Gong Yoo. And of course he's in love with her. It's not really like she is robbing the cradle as she is engaged to the body he is currently living in.

Two other k-dramas that cover the subject of teacher-student romances are "Biscuit Teacher Star Candy" and "Romance."

In "Biscuit Teacher Star Candy," Gong Hyo Jin wants to become a high school teacher but to get the job she must supervise a five-year-younger student played by Gong Yoo. First he makes her life miserable but then he falls for her.

In the 2002 drama "Romance," Kim Ha Neul and Kim Jae Won meet and fall in love then discover that she is a teacher at his school. This tale of forbidden love is full of drama and passion.
