The worst maritime accident has stopped all night programs for terrestrial broadcasting.

On April 16th around 9AM, near Jeonnam Jindo-gun, the passenger ferry Sewol sunk.  A day later on April 17th, there are 175 people rescued out of 475 and despite the bad conditions, the coast guard is acting to the best of its abilities.

Because of this, the broadcasting channels have made special news reports and all terrestrial broadcasting has been stopped.

After the sinking of Sewol, MBC and SBS decided that it would cancel the broadcasting of "Cunning Single Lady" "Radio Star" "Night TV Entertainment" and "Three Days".

KBS that runs two channels had originally planned to air "Golden Cross" and Entertainment show "Fluttering Hearts Romance 30" but ended up cancelling it.  With captions, it announced the cancelling of these two programs.

At this, netziens responded, "This is a good decision.  All the children haven't been rescued yet so how will you laugh and watch entertainment or dramas?""I hope all others are rescued" "We can watch entertainment TV later" and discussed their opinions.
