The Big Bang Theory Season 7 Episode 23 Recap: Penny And Leonard Are Now Engaged In The Latest Episode ‘The Gorilla Dissolution’!
The Big Bang Theory Season 7 Episode 23 Recap: Mrs. Wolowitz got in an accident when a treadmill brought by Howard and Raj fell on her downstairs. She was advised to be in bed for six weeks, thus Howard and Bernadette will be in charge of taking care of her.
Raj was invited by Sheldon to watch the latest Spiderman movie when everybody else declined. Then, they came across Emily who was with someone else. Sheldon said, "That was awkward, right?"
Leonard visited Penny during the filming of her gorilla movie together with Will. He noticed that the director does not even care on what was happening at the scene. When Penny approached him after the take, he was uninterested and fired her. Leonard defended her and Will also stood up for her, but he also got fired.
They went back to Sheldon's apartment and Raj was deeply bothered by the incident. Sheldon made tea to comfort him. He opened up and admitted that Emily and he never agreed to be exclusive.
Howard and Bernadette were getting quite exhausted taking care of Mrs. Wolowitz. They were discussing that it was just like taking care of a kid, but Howard says that he will be a better father. They also got into a fight when Bernadette came back late when she went out to get groceries. Next morning, they patched things up and became "Team Putz" and hired a nurse.
Sheldon wanted to sleep already, but Raj doesn't want to leave and to be alone. He then pointed out that it was Raj's problem - his fear of being alone and he got too attached to a woman giving her attention. He then realized that instead of clinging to any woman who would go out with him that he needs to work on his fear of being alone.
Emily came over to Raj's place and explained that she only went out with her tattoo artist just get it over with. Then, they told each other that they were both not seeing anyone else. They kissed and maybe one thing led to another, like Emily letting Raj see her tattoos.
Penny and Leonard came back to her apartment. She was still frustrated about her career and decided to only make smart decisions. She then started one by telling Leonard that they should get married. He got a little offended because he thought that she only wanted that because she's upset. However, she realized that she doesn't need to be famous to be happy and she only needed Leonard.
The couple was a little in shock about their engagement and realized there was something missing. Leonard then pulled out a ring he had for a couple of years and asked Penny to marry him. And she said, "Yes."
