Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2: Skrulls To Join The Show As Skrull Origin For 'Skye' Chloe Bennet Hinted In The Plot?

The Skrulls are coming in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 2.

There have been many rumors and theories' surrounding Shield's rookie agent Skye as YouTube user Emergency Awesome uploaded a video that showcased his reviews of the recent episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

According to him, Skye's parents could possibly be of Skrulls as hinted on past episodes were in Skye questions her past and who her parents are. In past developments of the show Raina, the scientist working for John Garrett a.k.a. the Clairvoyant had a keen interest in Skye's DNA as well as her origins.

In the episode "Nothing Personal" she mentioned to Grant Ward about a story of monsters attacking a village in China. The monsters were searching for their baby, and Raina believes that "baby" is Skye herself. We've already know that the "blue alien" in project T.A.H.I.T.I. is in fact a Kree, so having Skrulls as Skye's parents isn't that farfetched at all.

So far, Marvel hasn't made official statements about the whole Skrull thing, but fans will soon speculate these rumors could happen soon on Season 2 of the show or in Phase 3 movie projects. They may have been starting a "Secret Invasion" or a "Kree-Skrull War" storylines for Phase 3 and if that happens then Marvel's ratings will sky rocket and their reputation cemented.

A little backgrounds on both the Skrulls and the Kree, in the comics the two alien races have been at war for a long time, and they're rivalry has culminated into many conquests from other worlds. The Skrulls are race of green reptilian aliens who have shape shifting powers as they can transform into any person and animal they want and completely undetectable even the from the likes of people with animal keen senses like Wolverine. The Kree however are a race of warriors that have been bred for war for their entire existence.

There war resulted many conflicts within the Marvel universe as heroes such as the Avengers, Fantastic Four, Guardians of the Galaxy and among others have been caught in the crossfire.
