Harrison Ford was injured while filming "Star Wars 7" but production will not be hampered as he continues to recuperate his ankle.

A statement from Disney reads: "Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care."

It added, "Shooting will continue while he recuperates."

According to the source of The Hollywood Reporter, Harrison Ford was injured by the door of the Millenium Falcon, the iconic spacecraft that his character, Han Solo, and sidekick Chewbacca, used.

The Millenium Falcon also figured in the news recently after a photo of the spacecraft being built in a secret location in the UK for "Star Wars 7" set was leaked to the press.

After Harrison Ford was injured, it's not clear if he was already released from the hospital.

Producers of "Star Wars 7" have been very secretive about the plot although THRsaid that it's set 30 years after the "Return of the Jedi."

Filming for "Star Wars Episode 7" has already started filming in Abu Dhabi with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy calling it "an incredible place to commence this journey."

The location prompted rumors that "Star Wars Episode 7" will try to revisit Tattooine again.

"Sources tell THR that the J.J. Abrams-led production is seeking to re-create the desert planet Tatooine, which was the home of Anakin and Luke Skywalker as well as the headquarters of Jabba the Hutt," THR added.

Apart from Harrison Ford, the other cast of "Star Wars 7" are Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill-who will all reprise their roles as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, respectively--Adam Driver of "Girls," Daisy Ridley of "Blue Season," John Boyega ("Imperial Dreams"), Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, "Game of Thrones" cast Gwendolyn Christie and Max Von Sydow ("Exorcist").
