Brazil World Cup 2014 News: FIFA President Blatter Commends Suarez After Apology

The President of FIFA World Cup, Sepp Blatter just recently complimented Uruguay striker Luis Suarez after he said sorry and admitted that he really did bite and Italian player in his last game for the tournament, Wednesday.

The Liverpool man reportedly bit Italy's defender, Giorgio Chiellini on the shoulder. It has been a big internet joke since.

And for that action, Suarez has received punishment from the FIFA officials. He is now suspended for nine matches, and he cannot participate in any other international events for four months. The ban includes this World Cup, and also other competitive internationals like the English Premiere League.

At first, Suarez denied the claims, but after one week, and a lot of effort to go home, he finally admitted that he indeed sank his teeth to Chiellini's shoulder. He first said that it was an accident.

Now, Suarez said: "The truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me."

"I apologise to Giorgio Chiellini and the entire football family. I vow to the public that there will never again be another incident like this."

To this statement, the President Baltter is very much delighted. He said to the media, "He said 'I'm sorry' to the soccer family, and that's fair play too."

"That shows he's a great player and I hope he can have his soccer career back."

Even though it is Suarez's third time already to be tangled in a biting controversy, the Barcelona officials still want to buy him from the Liverpool team.

This punishment for Suarez is the longest and the worst ever in FIFA history.

Because of that, Uruguay President Jose Mujica was furious to the officials, and he described tham as "sons of bitches" and "fascist."

The President shrugged it off coolly and said, "The president is totally independent. I can't comment on what he said."
