As was expected, Ronda Rousey didn't fail to amaze the UFC fans as she rose to the occasion and managed to defend her UFC crown from threatening Alexis Davis.
The 27 year old Olympic medalist left the crowed in awe as she was able to finish the game in a short 16 seconds. Rousey was able to give a quick judo throw which put Davis on the ground and then she sent out rounds after rounds of punches which made the game a lot easier for the ace player.
She received a loud ovation from her fans cheering her on for her win. She said "I'm not sure if they'll keep cheering me. I'm not going to keep my fingers crossed, but thank you, I appreciate it."
This is Rousey's fourth consecutive title defense and much has to do with her improving striking skills. With regards to this, she said "I box six days a week and grapple four days a week. I have more to catch up on striking, so that's what I train the most. I think I can do better."
On the other hand, UFC president Dana White was ecstatic over the result of Rousey's fight. He only had praises for the defending Champion.
"When you look at the NBA, women play basketball, but everybody [expletive] on it like, 'Ah, it's women's basketball; it's terrible,' " White said at the postfight news conference at Mandalay Bay. "This is a chick that could leave this building, walk down the Las Vegas Strip and wreck every guy on the Las Vegas Strip. There's never been a women in the history of the world that could do that."
But for Rousey, She believe that she has still much to improve as we has a lot to accomplish on her division "I still think I have plenty of motivation left. I want to retire undefeated and be known as one of the greatest of all time. That takes a lot more work than what I've done so far."
It seems like Rousey is the person to beat when it comes to the woman's division wins UFC. Who would have the guts to face such a tough and strong opponent? We will soon find out when the next match for Rousey begins.
