Humpback rescued Australia got a lot of cheers and applause, particularly as the rescued humpback whale was towed out to sea. It has been stranded on the beach line of a Gold Coast for two straight days.
The experts of Sea World are optimistic that the humpback rescued Australia will be able to survive after it was rescued on Thursday morning at the Queensland's Palm Beach. Before it was finally saved, however, there were initial attempts that failed.
Several methods were tried just to be able to get the humpback rescued Australia back into the deeper part of the ocean. However, they all failed, including an earlier attempt on Thursday, which included a tow rope that snapped towards the back portion of the breakers. As a result, the humpback whale ended up back on dry sand.
A harness was specifically designed for the humpback rescued Australia mission, and it was fitted to the humpback whale. Eventually, the whale was taken quite delicately out to sea by two Sea World research and rescue vessels on Wednesday before 7 a.m.
However, since the team was working against the tide, authorities had to make a decision to bring the whale back to the beach and to take it out when the waters were at a high tide in the evening. To keep the humpback rescued Australia cool, they erected marquees around it.
A spokesperson from Sea World said that the rescue team arrived just in time, since the condition of the humpback whale was already starting to deteriorate. Being stranded on the sand for two straight days, since Tuesday, could be very damaging to an animal who is supposed to be in the water at all times. The spokeswoman informed ABC, "We were working against the conditions. Time was running out. We're cautiously optimistic it will be okay from her on in."
Marine experts have already committed themselves to continuously monitor the conditions and movements of the humpback rescued Australia.
