Gremlins Remake Happening? Chris Columbus To Produce 1984 American Horror Comedy Film As Well As The 'Goonies' Sequel?

Remember the cute Gremlins (ok some of them are monsters)? The 1984 American horror comedy film is said to have a remake and it will be produced by Chris Columbus.

Don't get excited yet because this is still rumor because no confirmation or any official announcement about it.

According to ScienceFiction.com, Columbus is said to be set to return for both the ‘Gremlins’ relaunch as well as the ‘Goonies’ sequel as a producer!

According to some source, Columbus seems to look to be set for the returning of two of the franchises that made him famous even though there was already an announcement for the new producers of ‘Gremlins’.

The 1984 Gremlins was written by Columbus (According to Wikipedia) . He was also responsible for the screenplays for both of the original movies.

Columbus and the studios haven’t officially announced about the reboot of the film.

The ‘Gremlins’ reboot was also heard to be produced by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg and they just to be on the delayed sequel train because they are busy and currently focused with the new ‘Beetlejuice 2‘ film.
