Holmes seems to be inviting in controlling people in her life now. Star magazine reported in its July 14th print edition that Holmes' father, Martin, now picks and decides which men to let in his daughter's life. Surprisingly, the brunette beauty seems to have no objections to that set-up.
Things may get a bit better for Holmes, whose ex-husband, Tom Cruise, seemed to be more controlling than the actress' father. Sources reported that Cruise controlled much of his then-wife's life to his contentment.
On the other hand, Martin had a history of controlling his daughter's life prior to her marriage to Cruise. Rumor has it that Martin never approved of Katie Holmes dating life with Cruise right from the start.
Perhaps, Katie learned her lesson well from her father, since her marriage to Tom ended on a sour note. It seems the actress has now allowed her father to take control of her life the same way he did when she was 16. The actress may have submitted to the belief that fathers really do know what's best.
