The last time the couple was reportedly together was during the first week of July when they had dinner with U.S. President Barack Obama. After that, the 21-year old singer was seen busy with her music career while the 34-year old actor was focused on promoting his new TV show "From Dusk till Dawn: The Series" shown on El Rey.

A few weeks ago, the "Skyscraper" singer posted a photo of a thumb on Twitter giving a hint to her followers who will be her next duet. Finally, the owner of the thumb spoke up about that collaboration. Nick Jonas told MTV that he will be having a duet with Demi Lovato and he also revealed his special relationship with the songstress.

The 21-year old heartthrob said, "She and I recorded a song that I think is beautiful. It's not necessarily a love song. It's so easy to do a duet that's a love song because our relationship isn't really that. But there is a love there for a friend, you know, and it's beautiful to just talk about."

Nick Jonas also added a statement that may be referring to the Demi Lovato Wilmer Valderrama break up. He said, "Any kind of relationship can hit a point where if not's stable, it's not secure then it's like an avalanche crashing down and that's what the song is about. Her voice is amazing on it and it feels good. I'm excited for people to hear it!"

Apart from that, the "Chains" crooner also shared his similarities with the "Really Don't Care" hitmaker. Nick said, "The great thing about our relationship is that we're both pretty much gung-ho to do anything creatively together at any point in time. So if she was like 'Hey, let's go make that album!' I'd be like 'Alright, cool' because I'm confident that it's going to be fun and we're going to have a good time making it! Plus, it'll probably end up sounding cool."

While the two singers were having fun creating music together, the former "That '70s Show" actor has been posting healing messages on Twitter. Is he suffering from a broken heart? Wilmer wrote, "Your desire to live in happiness, is only a state of mind away." He also posted recently, "We all grow up with fears...But few of us evolve to overcome them."
