According to TV Guide, there is going to be a surprising mystery that's going to be unveiled with regards to Hewitt's Kate character.

Whatever the mystery is for Hewitt's character, let's just hope it doesn't focus on battling an antagonist.

Word has it though, that many of the other characters in CM will be impressed with Kate's outstanding qualities. Kate will be given responsibility to take lead of her job, alongside with Rossi.

A little warning to the audiences: Kate will still show some flaws you'll need to accept. Expect easy Kate's easy integration with the other characters in the show. The show's producers don't want to waste time trying to fit Kate with the other characters. They will act quickly on making the overall situation fit for Kate and the rest of the characters.

The other characters who are making a comeback in CM's season 10 are:  Thomas Gibson (Aaron Hotchner) and Joe Mantegna (David Ross). On the other hand, characters who won't be returning to the show are: Shemar Moore (Morgan), Kirsten Vangsness (Garcia) and A.J. Cook (JJ).
