Ashlee Simpson: Reality Star-Singer And Fiance, Evan Ross Friends With Ex, Ryan Cabrera; Can Exes Really Be Friends?
Surprisingly, unlike exes who drift apart after they've broken up, Ashlee Simpson is friends with her ex, Ryan Cabrera.
Ryan is even friends with Ashlee's fiancé, Evan Ross!
Ryan and Ashlee Simpson dated way back in 2004. Ashlee's debut single, "Pieces of Me," was written with Ryan in mind. Ryan claimed he was thrilled his former flame was marrying Ross. He knew Diana Ross' son since he was little, and couldn't be happier for the soon-to-be married couple.
Cabrera told US magazine in an interview:
''Evan's been one of my best friends, he used to sleep on my couch way back in the day since he was a baby. And then to see him with obviously another friend of mine is great.''
Ryan also said he has been working on some projects with Evan:
''Originally, we were working on his album together, so I was helping him write songs for his record. Then we came up with this one song that just worked right for me.''
Ashlee and Evan were seen in Malibu, California last month, attending Ryan's 32nd birthday bash. Ashlee's ex claimed he did not find his friendship with the couple weird:
''Ash and Ev came to my birthday party. I'm friends with pretty much most of the girls I've dated except for the most recent one because it's a little fresh.''
Evan Ross and Ashlee Simpson are scheduled to get married on Labor Day.
