People reported via a close source that the couple has been going through difficulties in their marriage.

The source said:

"They've been living apart for months,"

"He's been staying in hotels." 

Mariah and Nick spent mother's and father's day with their kids, twins, Monroe and Moroccan.

According to the source, though, the couple's relationship has gone sour for quite some time now; despite the closeness the couple has been showing the public.

The legendary singer and the "America's Got Talent" host married in 2008, just after a few weeks of being together. They had another wedding in 2013 in an enchanting ceremony at Disneyland in California.

The Daily Mail further reported details on the Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon divorce rumors, saying Nick has allegedly confirmed things have not going well between him and his wife.

Nick admitted in an interview in "The Insider":

'There is trouble in paradise... we have been living in separate houses for a few months.'

The Daily Mail stated in its article that TMZ reported that both Mariah and Nick have entered into a confidentiality agreement with their attorneys, banning Cannon from talking about the forthcoming divorce. Allegedly, if Nick does not comply with this agreement, he may face consequent penalties.
