'Supernatural' season 10 is still a couple of months away but fans are already rejoicing!
Jensen Ackles' Twitter finally exists!
Ackles, who plays Dean Winchester in the CW series, finally gave in to fans' demands and opened a Twitter account.
'Supernatural' followers are no stranger to the cast hanging out in social media sites. Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Mark Sheppard all have accounts on Twitter, but personal updates about the Ackles have only been channelled through his friends as well as his wife, Daneel Ackle's account.
The actor finally gave in to fan's wishes, posting a photo of himself and the audience at the 'Supernatural' Convention currently happening in Vancouver. He captioned his first Twitpic, "Alright twitter...you win. #VanCon2014 #SPNFamily."
He tweeted again, hours later, saying "Great time today. Best fans ever."
Jensen Ackles' Twitter account, which was just recently verified, got more than a hundred thousand followers in its first hour alone. His sole tweet (for now) currently has more than 45 thousand retweets and 60 thousand favorites.
He currently follows three people, his wife, Padalecki, and Misha Collins. He also introduced himself as actor, director, husband, and father.
Fellow 'Superantural' actor and Ackle's onscreen brother, Jared Padalecki, confirmed the account, tweeting, "It's official! I am hereby confirming that Jensen Ackles IS now on twitter. U R welcome :) @jensenackles #JensenAcklesOnTwitter."
His wife also welcomed Ackles, tweeting "Welcome to twitter my love!!!@JensenAckles ;-))"
The hashtag #JensenAcklesOnTwitter took the number one spot on the worldwide trending topics for a good couple of hours following the 36-year-old TV actor's first tweet.
After enjoying witty updates from Padalecki and Collins, fans will definitely look forward to seeing more wonderful things from Ackles.
Meanwhile, fans are also looking forward to the next season of 'Supernatural.' Season 10's first episode will premiere on October 7 on the CW.
Ackles will come back as a newly demonized Dean and Padalecki will be left with the mission to turn him back into a human.
