‘Love Rain,’ Why Is Viewer Rating So Low?
Even after the second episode, 'Love Rain' just can't seem to bring in the audience. This comes as a surprise because the drama has two of the most famous Hallyu stars: Girls' Generations' Yoona and Jang Geun Suk.
On the 28th, viewer ratings were revealed and 'Love Rain' only pulled in 5.2% nationwide, 0.6% lower than the airing of their first episode. On the other hand, 'Fashion King' pulled in a rating of 9.6%, 0.4% higher than its previous episode.
Viewers have praised 'Love Rain' for its unique storyline and even in forums have pointed out its strong points: "it's a drama where three different generations can enjoy," "Whenever I watch 'Love Rain' my heart swoons..."
So why is the rating so low? Someone commented that the viewer demographic is quite young, and they watch the drama by downloading the episodes.
Others have also praised the drama with, "Finally a beautiful drama that's properly filmed. People will eventually also recognize this and start watching," "Watching the drama brings nostalgia..."
