People reported that the former "High School Musical" star has dyed her hair red this fall.

After posting a Vanessa Hudgens new red hair photo on Instagram, the actress captioned the photo as follows:

"Someone (ME) is very excited for Halloween. Meaning I had to dye my hair to match the season. Hallelujah for @ninezeroone and @riawnacapri @nikkilee901 for making this happen with @greatlengthsusa #VAMP."

The actress completed her new look with a red lipstick. People reported that the star had her new do done at a hair salon where BFF, Ashley Tisdale, had her blonde hair highlighted with a lovely lavender color.

The character that Vanessa will be impersonating this Halloween remains a mystery. But, one thing's for sure: Vanessa Hudgens' red hair will be compatible with anything she'll be dressed up into.

Vanessa has been sporting shorter hair for quite some time now. Hudgens previously dyed her hair with turquoise highlights last June, according to People. It seemed that the star is now ready to sacrifice her mermaid-like look for a more casual look!
