Are you ready for the latest "Avengers 2" spoilers? There have been rumors that Marvel Pictures is negotiating with Sony to do a crossover movie between Spider-Man and The Avengers. We may even see a sneak peek of that in the after-credits scene of the "Age of Ultron". If ever this will push through, we could be seeing your favorite web-slinging superhero in "Avengers 3".

Film critic Drew McWeeny of HitFix tried to verify the latest "Avengers 2" spoilers. He said, "While I can't get the confirmations I need to verify the story, I'm hearing that there are some very cool Spider-Man plans being discussed that would help Sony refocus their enormously important franchise while also opening up some connections in the on screen Marvel movie universe that would blow fandom's minds."

McWeeny believes that a crossover movie is possible based on the information that he have gathered. He said, "What seems clear from what I've heard is that Marvel wants to be able to play with all of their characters, and if they can make that work creatively and on a corporate level, they will, and that means the world gets bigger again."

I'm sure hearing the "Avengers 2" spoilers of featuring Spider-Man and the Avengers in the after-credits scene got you all excited. However, not everyone seems interested in seeing a crossover movie. A few months ago, film producers Avi Arad and Matthew Tolmach, who are known for producing "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", shared their thoughts regarding the rumors.

Arad told Total Film (via Comic Book Movie), "I for one don't see the value for us in it." He explained, "I think we're doing such a good job with the Spider-Man Universe. Spider-Man is arguably the number one character in the world. He shouldn't make a cameo."

He added, "If there was a natural alliance for some reason...I cannot talk for Sony." Tolmach explained further, "The practical side of it is, look, how many movies have we just talked about? It's all we can do to build that universe. We're not going beyond that."
