Rumors about "The Crow" movie reboot with Luke Evans and Norman Reedus has been circulating on the Internet. With it come speculations about how the producers and creators would approach the gothic cult classic film that turned out to be a real tragedy both on and off cam, as lead star Brandon Lee died while filming the movie.

According to Screenrant, the producers have divulged very few details regarding the movie, one of which was Luke Evans' portrayal of the title role. Despite this fact, rumors on "The Crow" movie reboot with Luke Evans and Norman Reedus still abound. As heard through the grapevine, "The Walking Dead Star" is one of the prime candidates for a supporting role.

As to whether he would be an antagonist or a protagonist, no one could say. So far the studios have kept everything under wraps. Their people made no reactions or whatsoever about the rumor to this date. However, James O'Barr, the creator of the popular horror comic, has confirmed that the upcoming version would be a reboot, not a remake, reported Yahoo UK.

O'Barr, who is working closely with director Francisco Javier Gutiérrez Díaz for the reboot, added that compared to the first version, this next one would be more in touch with his original story (Yahoo UK). Evans further corroborated his claim when he gave this explanation during an interview with RCN TV, as shared by Screenrant:

"Well, we just want to be as authentic and loyal to the original comic as possible, and that means the story will be different. It'll be different from what people are expecting. It's not about us ripping off the Brandon Lee movie, that stands alone as a brilliant piece of cult film and a great performance, but we're going back to the book. And that's exciting because we're bringing to the screen a lot of parts of the story that were never really told. So yeah, it's our chance to do it, to do it differently, but to be as loyal and respectful of the original storyline as we possibly can."

As of this writing, the producers and creators have not shared any new information. During Yahoo UK's interview with O'Barr last June, he stated that filming was scheduled to commence sometime later that month. Aside from that, no release date, let alone info regarding the rumored "The Crow" movie reboot with Luke Evans and Norman Reedus, has been shared.

Well, fans will just have to wait and see until the trailer's release to find out exactly what "The Crow" reboot has to offer.
