Quentin Tarantino The Hateful Eight Release Dates, Cast & Rumors: Samuel Jackson And Kurt Russell To Star? See Plot &Leaked Character List!

Just like Kill Bill 3, Quentin Tarantino has been teasing the public about the The Hateful Eight for years now but we are only aware of very few details about the release date, cast and plot. The film will be released next year alongside The Whole Bloody Affair.

Building up the momentum on the possibility of meeting the project timeline of this film, it was reported last month that the Weinstein Company (Tarantino's partner in Reservoir Dogs and Django Unchained) is set to distribute The Hateful Eight. In fact, the cameras will start rolling in January. It will be shot on 65mm film and have the widest 70mm film release in over 20 years.

According to the Weinsteins: "We are incredibly excited to begin production on The Hateful Eight, as we know this picture will be as innovative, brash and of course fun as all Quentin projects prior. There is, quite simply, no other filmmaker like him, and we are as proud as ever to continue this partnership that started over 20 years ago."

The leaked teaser trailer also created some buzz last month revealing the major characters o fThe Hateful Eight:

Major Marquis Warren as The Bounty Hunter

John Ruth as The Hangman

Daisy Domergue as The Prisoner

Chris Mannix as The Sheriff

Bob as The Mexican

Oswaldo Mobray as The Little Man

Joe Gage as The Cow Puncher

General Sandy Smithers as The Confederate

Some of the rumored actors who'll most likely play these roles were Samuel Jackson, Bruce Dern, Michael Madsen, Walton Goggins, and James Remar and Kurt Russell. But one hot scoop is the involvement of Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence who will probably play as the The Prisoner, as per The Collider.

However, such speculation was instantly denied by JLaw's publicist who said: "Despite internet rumors, her reps have confirmed she's not doing this project."

Here's the synopsis for The Hateful Eight taken during the live-read of the script:

"The Hateful Eight follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere."
