Henry Cavill News 2014: ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ Actor Ventures To Production W/ His Brother, British Heartthrob To Star In Its First Project Entitled ‘Stratton’

Henry Cavill News 2014 includes forming his own production. According to Deadline, the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" star created the "production shingle" dubbed as Promethean Productions, with his brother Charlie Cavill and London-based producer Rex Glensy. It set its first feature project with Amber Entertainment and GFM Films entitled "Stratton." The current "Superman" will star in this action thriller based on an eight-novel series by Duncan Falconer.

"Having the opportunity to expand my horizons into filmmaking is incredibly exciting" said Henry Cavill. "Getting to work so closely with my brother in this venture is equally so."

Reportedly, the novels were originally optioned by Ileen Maisel and Lawrence Elman's Amber Ltd who brought it to Promethean. The film that will begin shooting this spring is set in Southern Italy, Rome and London. Financing will be provided by GFM and make worldwide sales at AFM. Hothouse Music, credited for The Hobbit and Les Miserables, will take charge of the music.

Cavill will next be seen in Warner Bros' "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," on Aug. 14, 2015 and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," that will hit theaters on March 25, 2016.

Meanwhile, Henry Cavill take a break in filming late October as he joins the uphill fundraising run for Royal Marines in Gibraltar.

Daily Mail reported that Henry Cavill was joined by his brother Nik Cavill, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Royal Marines, for the 350th anniversary run. The actor together with his brother and 40 other participants wear luminous yellow t-shirt and black shorts as they undertake a five kilometre uphill run as part of the fundraising campaign for the Royal Marines.

"I will remember this day fondly and probably with a little bit of physical discomfort, which only seems fitting considering what this day represents," Cavill, an ambassador for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund said.

Event organizer Alan Hardy expressed his delight in the actor's participation.
