"The Musketeers" Season 2 gets January 2015 air date in UK and June 22, 2015 in BBC America. The same cast will appear except for Peter Capaldi. Let's hear it from the stars of the BBC drama.

The stars behind "The Musketeers" have their own reasons they were attracted to the show. Santiago Cabrera, who played the role of Aramis, said he fell in love with the script the first time he read it. The Musketeers are a group but the story was able to introduce and highlight each character.

Luke Pasqualino, who portrayed the character of D'Artagnan, admitted "the premise was a big attraction". He said it's also "the fact that it's 'The Musketeers'" and that his familiar with the story and characters. More important reason for him is it being a BBC drama and it giving him "the opportunity to be one of the leading men".

Howard Charles, who played Porthos, described the writing as "brilliant". He found his character amazing. "I spoke to Adrian Hodges, the lead writer and executive producer and he mentioned that he wanted to pay homage to Alexandre Dumas Senior (the father of the novelist) with Porthos by using some elements of the novel, but also from the personal history of Alexandre Dumas Senior - a soldier in the French army who rose to the rank of General, when there weren't many mixed-race people around in uniform, so of course I was really attracted to that element."

The Musketeers" Season 2, once the viewers see it on its air date, will definitely carry the same quality of writing the cast is referring to.

Tom Burke, who played Athos, disclosed his love for the characters and the good things they do, "what they can and when they can" in quite a spasmodic manner. He said he can relate to them. He added that when he came in, only two episodes were written but he said yes because he believed in the whole idea of the show. "It was more than just a script; there was a history and a heritage to it. The scripts Adrian has written are snappy, fast-paced and full of wit."

Other "The Musketeers" Season 2, which air date is only a few months away, cast includes Tamla Kari, Maimie McCoy, Hugo Speer, Ryan Gage, and Alexandra Dowling.
