Synopsis: Barney, Christmas, and the rest of The Expendables has come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks, who co-founded the team with Barney. Conrad turned into a merciless arms trader; Barney was forced to kill him - or so he thought. He escaped death and has a goal to do: put a stop to The Expendables.

Barney, on the other hand, has a goal of his own: bring in new members - younger, faster, and more tech-savvy. The fight then becomes old-school style vs. high-tech expertise.

Life takes us all down very different paths, so to get them together is an event. That's the keyword: an event. We're trying to make an 'event movie'. Just like 'The Avengers', why is it so great? Because you're bringing all these characters together. Well we're trying to do that too, and I think we've accomplished it, actually even better because we've brought in even better actors. "The Expendables 3" cast includes Stallone (Barney Ross), Jason Statham (Lee Christmas), Harrison Ford (Drummer), Arnold Schwarzenegger (Trench), Mel Gibson (Stonebanks), Wesley Snipes (Doc), Dolph Lundgren (Gunner Jensen), Randy Couture (Toll Road), Terry Crews (Caesar), Kelsey Grammer (Bonaparte), Glen Powell (Thorn), Antonio Banderas (Galgo), Victor Ortiz (Mars), Ronda Rousey (Luna), Kellan Lutz (Smilee), and Jet Li (Yin Yang).

The action-adventure film is directed by Patrick Hughes. Sylvester Stallone wrote the story and Stallone, Creighton Rothenberger, and Katrin Benedikt took care of the screenplay.

Released August 15, 2014, "The Expendables 3" earned $15,879,645 in the opening weekend. It earned $39,322,544 and $166,850,000 for its domestic and foreign grosses, respectively.

According to news, the disappointing box-office result of the movie can be attributed to leak of the movie in torrent sites three weeks before it hit the theaters. The file was downloaded more than 2 million times. In August, Lionsgate filed a complaint against 10 individuals who were allegedly responsible for the leak. Two men were already arrested.
