'May Queen' Han Ji Hye and Jae Hee Kiss In Front Of A Hundred People
Actors Han Ji Hye and Jae Hee filmed a kiss scene in front of a hundred on-lookers.
On the 4th, a spokesperson for the MBC Drama "May Queen" (written by Son Young Mok and directed by Baek Ho Min) talked about what happened behind the scenes for the kiss scene.
According to the spokesperson, word spread about the kiss scene of Hae Joo (played by Han Ji Hye) and Chang Hee's (played by Jae Hee) that aired on September 30th so the Ulsan on-lookers joined the staff members and watched the scene as they all held their breath while they filmed.
"May Queen" is set in the Ulsan area so a lot of Ulsan citizens showed up to watch the two act.
This scene was Hae Joo coming to break up with Chang Hee after she found out that her brother Sang Tae (played by Moon Ji Yoon) took a huge sum of money from Chang Hee. As she attempts to break up with him, he kisses her to let her know his feelings.
The spokesperson said, "We could have kept the filming in secret, but we thought of it as encouragement if we allowed the citizens to watch so we got permission and openly filmed the scene. As soon as they started filming the kiss scene, the citizens also tensed up like the actors and held their breath with the staff. Han Ji Hye and Jae Hee were able to act seriously even though there were a lot of people watching them on set. They were able to immerse themselves in the passionate scene and were able to successfully film it."
Viewers are maximally interested to see if Hae Joo and Chang Hee can continue their relationship in spite of a lot of distractions, and how Kang San (played by Kim Jae Won) will deal with his feelings for Hae Joo.
