The highly anticipated historical drama “Maids,” which is billed as “Sex and the City” meets the Joseon Dynasty, will be simulcast on DramaFever.
“Maids” tells the complex story of a woman whose life is turned upside down when her father is considered a traitor. Once a wealthy socialite, In Yup is forced to work as a servant in the royal family’s house. With a new perspective on life, she befriends her former servant, Sa Wol. In Yup also develops a relationship with another servant, Moo Young.
In Yup’s life becomes even more complicated when Moo Young, a new gisaeng or female courtesan, sets her sights on Moo Young. This leads to a complex love triangle which sets the drama into motion.
“Maids” incorporates the scenic splendor that is synonymous with historical dramas with comedy.
Actress Jung Yoo Mi (A Thousand Days Promise, Rooftop Prince) leads the cast as In Yup.
Actor Oh Ji Ho of “The Slave Hunters” and “Basketball” is in the role of Moo Young.
“Maids” premiered on December 12 on jTBC and DramaFever.
