‘The Avengers’ Christmas Carols [VIDEO]: Watch Your Favorite Superheroes Sing ‘Joy To The World!' Groot Makes A Special Appearance! Fan-Made Mashup Went Viral!
In time for the holiday season, "The Avengers" and a "Guardians of the Galaxy"'s Groot sang some Christmas carols. Don't expect to see Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the rest of the team sang some carols because these are just snippets of the characters combined to produce a music video. It's a difficult task to do, but one person did it for the sake of the Christmas spirit.
The fan-made mashup video was created by James Covenant, who is a video editor and an aspiring video game maker. He is known for producing viral mashups which combines your favorite movies and music videos.
His latest creation was entitled "The Avengers Sing Christmas Carols" and he wrote about the video: "Avengers ensemble! The heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe join in heart and song to wish you a Merry Christmas." Seeing this video indeed will make the holiday more fun for all Comic-Con and Marvel fans.
The Avengers and Groot's Christmas Carols video on YouTube went viral; and it now has more than a million views. The cast of the Avengers sang "Joy To The World" and the second song was "Jingle Bells" by Groot. James Covenant also did a mashup for "Star Wars" and "Call Me Maybe" as well as "Star Trek"'s Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) singing "Let it Snow".
Seeing "The Avengers" and a member of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" in one video singing Christmas carols is pretty exciting. There have been rumors in the past that a crossover film will happen between two Marvel movies.
Even Vin Diesel, who stars as Groot was thrilled about that idea. He told Yahoo UK, "I think there's going to be huge fans of the Guardians and there are huge fans of the Avengers and I think the discussion has already been had [at Marvel]. I think the audience may demand something like that."
However, it seems that the negotiations didn't work out because James Gunn recently confirmed that both superhero teams aren't connected. The director told Screen Junkies (via MovieWeb), "We have our own galaxy to take care of. We have our own galaxy to save. Earth is the Avengers' province. Thinking that everything is going to come together in a perfect way is not necessarily the way it's going to happen."
