Kim Woo Bin's 'The Technicians' Will Screen In North America & Five Additional Asian Countries

“The Technicians,” which is also marketed under the English name “The Con Artists,” is coming to select theaters in North America and screens throughout five Asian countries.

“The Technicians” premiered in Korea on December 24 and came in second place with ticket sales, following “Ode to My Father.”

The film was produced by Lotte Entertainment and distribution will be handled in some markets by an affiliate of Deltamac.

The film will premier in North America on January 9, the same date that “Ode to My Father” will begin to screen in select cities. “The Technicians” will then open in Taiwan on January 23, followed by Hong Kong and China. The film will follow its screenings in China with showtimes in the Philippines and Singapore.

“The Technicians” stars Kim Woo Bin with veteran actor Go Chang Seok and Lee Hyun Woo.

Kim Woo Bin heads up the film as a master counterfeiter who joins with Lee Hyun Woo, who is a renowned hacker.

Kim Woo Bin’s “Friend 2” previously screened in North America. Lee Hyun Woo previously starred in the espionage film “Secretly, Greatly.”
