Katie Holmes And Suri Cruise Spent Christmas: Mother And Daughter Did Not Spend Christmas With Tom Cruise, Holmes' Rep Said

Katie Holmes, and daughter, Suri Cruise had a wonderful mother-daughter bonding time together for Christmas. People reported, though, that Katie and Suri did not spend Christmas with Tom Cruise. Tom is Katie's ex-husband and the father of 8-year old Suri.

Katie's rep revealed to People that:

"Katie did not spend Christmas afternoon with Tom Cruise,"

 "She and Suri spent Christmas afternoon visiting children at a local hospital in L.A." 

Katie admitted to have had cooked her first Thanksgiving last month. The actress was thankful for having learned and experienced how to cook a holiday dinner.

Holmes told David Letterman last month:

"I'm very excited because this year, I feel like it's really the year," 

"I'm the baby of five and I've been sort of using that for a long time. But now I'm taking responsibility, and my mother's going to teach me how to make a turkey." 

Katie has revelled in the experience of being a mom, as she revealed in an interview with People in October 2014:

"My patience has grown, but between 4 and 6 p.m. . . . I mean, wow,"

 "Between tickle fights and glitter art, I try to throw in some manners along the way." 

As for the controversial ex-Mrs. Tom Cruise image she now projects, the actress only had this one thing to say about it:

"I don't want that moment in my life to define me, to be who I am,"

 "I don't want that to be what I'm known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now."
