Benedict Cumberbatch And Sophie Hunter Already Expecting First Baby! How Far Along Is The ‘Sherlock’ Star’s Fiancé?

It was previously speculated that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter's baby will be making an appearance soon. Although the couple remained quiet about the pregnancy rumors that started flying last December, they couldn't hide Hunter's growing baby bump from eagle-eyed fans and paparazzi any longer.

"They plan to get married before the baby is born... They're very traditional and don't want their baby to be born out of wedlock," a source reportedly told Showbiz Spy back in early December.

People started talking even more about the possible pregnancy when the Oxford graduate appeared with her fiancé at the Palm Springs Film Festival last week. She was wearing a long, loose maxi dress with a barely concealed baby bump.

The "Sherlock" star's publicist confirmed the happy news through a statement sent to various new outlets later on.

"I am delighted to confirm that Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are expecting their first child," the statement said, adding that both parents-to-be are "over the moon."

Already dubbed the "Cumberbaby," the actors' first ever son or daughter already has the world wrapped around its little finger tips. When will the little tyke be born?

The New York Post's Page Six quoted a source as saying that Hunter is already "a few months along."They are reportedly "very excited about it" and her pregnancy even bumped up their marital plans for "early spring."

With "Sherlock" season 4 already in production, nominations from several prestigious award-giving bodies pouring in, an upcoming superhero movie with Marvel, plus his wedding and new baby coming soon, this is going to be a very busy but satisfying year for "The Imitation Game" star.
