Vin Diesel announced during one of Romeo Santos' concerts that the singer will be appearing in "Fast and Furious 7," but not much was said about his character. The announcement was made back in May, but now that the film is just a few months away, the Latin singer finally shared his experience working on the upcoming James Wan movie.

The Grammy-nominated singer will play Cristian Marambio in "Furious 7." Even if it is just a minor role, he recently admitted during an interview with CBS how thankful and nervous he was while filming the seventh installment of the popular film franchise.

"It's a minor participation but I'm truly honored that I was considered for this part. I'm really good friends with Vin [Diesel]. I've always said I'd rather have a small participation in a huge project than the other way around," Romeo Santos said.

The 33-year old musician added, "I was always waiting for the right part and the right moment and I think it came at the right time. I'm really excited. It's just amazing for me to show people there's more to Romeo than just music."

This will be Romeo Santos' first acting stint, but the nerves still got into him despite being comfortable performing in front of thousands of people. The former Aventura member admitted, "I was very nervous. It's a whole different dynamic. You're not Romeo the singer. The entire cast made me feel so comfortable. But I walked into the set very very nervous."

After filming " Fast and Furious 7," fans are wondering if Romeo will start accepting more acting gigs just like co-stars Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris.

"Oh, absolutely, yeah. I would love to as long the project makes sense. For me it's more of a time-frame. With a movie you can be there for months. And most of the time I'm either touring or recording an album," The New Yorker said.

There were reports that The King of Bachata will be appearing next in "Angry Birds" movie. He confirmed the news and said, "I was very excited to do that. I did that in the comfort of my home. I have my own recording studio -- via Skype with the directors directing me. It was really cool. I think people are going to really enjoy that."

Catch Romeo Santos in "Fast and Furious 7" on Apr. 3, 2015 and "Angry Birds" on Jul. 1, 2016.
