The interview included questions regarding his on-screen kiss for the “One Fine Day” music video, which was completed without do overs. He also discussed his creative process for the album.

One of the topics which emerged in the exclusive interview involved his disparaging series of Korean drama roles in which he fails to maintain the love of the female lead character. According to Enews, a Chinese reporter asked him, “You′ve acted out of characters in dramas that don′t end up with the other actor. Don′t you want to act as a different character in your next project?

His response to this question was, “I think I have never really ended up together with a woman in a drama. I′m always watching from afar or crushing.”

He is well known among K-Drama fans for his portrayal of Kang Shin Woo in the 2009 Korean drama “You're Beautiful.” Shin Woo was the archetype of the second male lead, who remained on the sidelines while wistfully longing for his crush, Go Mi Nyeo (Park Shin Hye).

He went on to explain, “Next time, I want to play a character that sweetly loves without hiding and makes everyone jealous.”

One of the most perplexing roles Jung Yong Hwa has portrayed in recent years was Park Se Joo in “Marry Him If You Dare.” The drama concluded with an open-ended finale which allowed viewers to speculate as to whether Na Mi Rae (Yoon Eun Hye) decided to return to Se Joo or Kim Shin (Lee Dong Gun).

While he may not be successful with his on-screen romances, his solo album “One Fine Day” is a commercial hit.
