Move over Captain America and Iron Man because an all-female Avengers team is all set to rule the Marvel Universe. This summer, "The Avengers" are about to end and "Secret Wars" will reveal the new lineup of superheroes (or should I say superheroines?).

According to Marvel, the team will be called "A-Force" and the new comics will be co-written by Marguerite K. Bennett and G. Willow Wilson. Jorge Molina will be in charge of the artwork. I'm sure you are excited to find out who these female Avengers are and if Black Widow or Scarlet Witch will be included in the team since they were featured in the movie.

Last year, Joss Whedon announced that there will be four female superheroes that will dominate "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" but until today we haven't confirmed who the other two superheroines are. Marvel has been trying to satisfy their viewers by adding more female presence in movies and in comics.

This time, we will finally meet the first all-female Avengers team in "A-Force". She-Hulk, Medusa, Dazzler, and Nico Minoru will take charge in the new series.

"We've purposefully assembled a team composed of different characters from disparate parts of the Marvel U, with very different power sets, identities and ideologies," G. Willow Wilson said.

Marvel gave Wilson and her editor Daniel Ketchum the go signal to choose their own team, but there is one condition - the characters should all be female.

"They've become very committed in the last couple of years to telling new stories, to gender diversity, to getting more voices out there so they said, 'Here's the roster. Go nuts,'" USA Today reported her saying.

Apart from the all-female Avengers team, Wilson was also asked to create a new character - and the result was Singularity. The new Marvel character is a genderless cosmological event which chooses to be female. Fans will learn a lot from Singularity because she represents what it means to be a woman and an outsider learning more about the human race and building a relationship.
