On February 13, the Korean outlet Sports World reported on the increased popularity of Lee Jong Suk, following his role in “Pinocchio.” His past dramas including “School 2013,” “I Can Hear Your Voice,” and “Doctor Stranger” have yielded positive ratings making him a desirable star in the Asian market.

His past dramas including “School 2013,” “I Can Hear Your Voice,” and “Doctor Stranger” have yielded positive ratings making him a desirable star in the Asian market. Since "School 2013," he has starred in dramas which featured innovative and unique scripts. This has helped to elevate the actor from many of his contemporaries who have had missteps in underrated romantic comedies.

“Pinocchio” was one of his most successful dramas. The project sold at the highest bidding rate for publication through the Chinese streaming services Todou and Youku.

In addition to his dramas, he has demonstrated his potential at the box office through films like “The Face Reader,” “No Breathing,” and “Hot Young Bloods.”

According to Sports World, a source within his agency thinks that Lee may be interested in Chinese dramas. In the Sports World report, the source stated, “Lee Jong Suk has recently received many offers of work in Korea and China.”

The source went on to explain that interest in the actor has greatly increased in China, where he is currently receiving offers for movies, dramas, endorsements, and fan meetings.

As a former model, he has also excelled with endorsements. In 2014, he was selected as the first Korean model for Oakley. He was also selected as the Chinese market spokesperson for SEMIR and MVIO House.

The actor has not confirmed his next project but has recently participated in promotional activities in China.

On February 7, he successfully held a fan meeting in Guangzhou. On March 21, he will continue with his Asian tour which will include a stop in Taiwan on March 28.
