Asus ZenFone 2 Update: New Specs, Features And Price Range Revealed Online As Asus Announced Pre-Order Details And Two Variants For The Asus Handset!
It looks like new updates and details for the Asus ZenFone 2 have been revealed online with new specs, features, price range, and pre-order details.
Asus introduced the Asus ZenFone 2 at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2015 as the Taiwanese tech company wasted no time showcasing its new specs and features.
According to The Fuse Joplin, the Asus ZenFone 2 is the only smartphone equipped with a 4GB RAM, however, the latest AnTuTu benchmark results revealed that the Asus ZenFone 2 has a RAM capacity of only 2GB.
According to GSMArena, the Asus handset has reached an impressive score of 50401 which surpasses other mobile devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Meizu MX4 that are equipped with Snapdragon 801 processors and MediaTek MT6595 chipsets. Although the Asus ZenFone 2 was able to achieve this feet with only 2GB of RAM, the smartphone is equipped with quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.33 GHz and its compatible to a 64-bit architecture, but it is unclear if this processor helped the ZenFone 2 to reach the high score of 5041.
The Fuse Joplin adds that the ZenFone 2 is equipped with PowerVR Rogue G6430 GPU as the G6000 mobile GPU series is widely known for its impressive performance in 3D gaming applications and it is possible that the GPU contributed a lot more in achieving the phone's high score.
With all these impressive specs available in the Asus ZenFone 2, the question in everyone's mind is; Will the Asus handset have a RAM capacity of 4GB or 2GB?
GSMArena reports that two variants of the Asus ZenFone 2 will be available in the market as the Christian Today reports that a pre-order price for the 2GB version will cost around $299, while the 4GB version is expected to cost $440.
The ZenFone 2 is equipped with a 5.5 inch IPS Panel which can render a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a pixel density of 403 ppi. It is equipped with a LTE Cat 4 modem that has a download and upload speed of 150 and 50 Mbps. It will also sport a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It has three variants of internal storage; 13, 32, and 64 GB, which can be expanded of up to 64 GB via microSD card.
The ZenFone 2 will have a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front shooter. Its battery capacity is at 3,000 mAh and its software will run on Android Lollipop 5.0.
So far the release date of the latest Asus ZenFone 2 has not yet announced, but the Christian Post reportedly claimed that the Asus smartphone will launch on the second quarter of 2015.
