Kara′s Han Seung Yeon Casts in “Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love”

Han Seung Yeon from girl group Kara will appear in the new SBS drama.

It was announced on February 1st, that the singer will be part of the drama as one of Kim Tae Hee's rivals.

She will play the role of Sook Bin. She is a royal concubine who used to be a maid. She will fight with Kim Tae Hee for King Sukjong's (Yoo Ah In) love.

About her role, her agency DSP Media commented, “After much deliberation, she decided to appear in the drama. She has been preparing for her role, despite her busy over seas schedule.”

They added, “She always wanted to act, and she has made cameo in other series, as well as starring in a Japanese drama. This will be her first big role in a Korean drama.”

“Jang Ok Jung Lives for Love” will be about Jang Ok Jung a famous concubine of the Joseon Dynasty. She will portrayed as talented make-up and fashion designer.

The drama will air on April on SBS.
