The "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date has been set to February 2016 allegedly, following Sony's recent confirmation that the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date will not be on 2015.

Previously, a post by Sony in the official PlayStation blog confirmed that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not be released this 2015.

All of the known release dates of every game that would come out this 2015 as well as all the games that would be released this 2015 but with no official release date have been listed down by Sony in the post.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" was not included in the list thus confirming that the game would be out in 2016 not on 2015.

Cyberland has then reported that the "Kingdom Hearts 3" release date has been allegedly set by Square Enix to be on February 2016 and that tons of new details about "KH3" would be unveiled at "E3 2015".

"It can now be confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be available by February of next year. You guys can expect gameplay trailers and cinematic trailers at E3," wrote Cyberland.

Meanwhile, KpopStarz reported on how the devs of "Kingdom Hearts 3" deal with moving from the Luminious Game Engine to the Unreal Engine 4.

"Co-director and game designer of "Kingdom Hearts 3" Tai Yasue spoke with Eurogamer how his team is incorporating the Unreal Engine 4 game design engine," wrote KpopStarz.

"The technology is moving forward a lot," he said. "That's something we've learned from the West, I think, in a big way. We're using Unreal Engine 4 right now, and that really has changed the way we make the game."

Tai Yasue then clarified that there was nothing wrong with the Luminous game engine but asserted that the Unreal Engine 4 was the better fit for them.

"There was nothing wrong with the Luminous engine at all," Yasue answered. "We decided that Unreal 4 was right for us. There was a huge network of people actually using it, we were communicating with the Japanese people at Epic a lot - it was like a complete product."
